An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Volunteer Bandmaster within the Cheshire Constabulary.

The Volunteer Bandmaster is responsible for managing and overseeing the Force band including leading a team of volunteer band members and coordinating administration and logistical arrangements to ensure the delivery of professional performances.

The successful candidate will act as lead contact for the band internal and external enquiries and manage the band diary of events. They will prepare and lead musical performances ensuring good standards of musical quality are delivered.

The role will attract an annual allowance of £10,000 paid monthly and will report to the Head of Communications.

It is essential that the successful Bandmaster possess excellent written and oral communicative skills to be able to represent the force when at public engagements.
