Cheshire Constabulary are looking for officers who have a passion, enthusiasm, and commitment to transfer to Cheshire.

We are specifically accepting applications from Substantive Sergeants to join the Criminal Justice and Custody Department as a Custody Sergeant. This is a highly challenging role but in return we offer a comprehensive training programme and a role that will offer extensive personal and professional development.

Those interested in joining custody are welcome to apply through the recruitment system and your application will be reviewed. Successful applicants will be offered roles subject to completing a Custody course and will be expected to complete a 2-year tenure within the department. 

To apply as a Transferee you must:

  • Be a serving Police Officer in a Home Office Force.
  • Have satisfactorily completed the period of probationary service in the rank of constable.
  • Have no outstanding discipline or integrity issues.

Successful applicants will be aligned to a Transferee intake date
