Following your initial 2-year probationary period you will have the opportunity to progress through the ranks and continue to develop the wide range of skills that a professional career in policing will provide.
With regards to eligibility, you must hold a Level 3 qualification (two A Levels grade A*-D) or equivalent qualification or hold a qualification gained outside England and Wales considered by the UK National recognition Information Centre to be Level 3. Please ensure if you hold an international qualification, that you have proof of comparison at time of application. Please note, we will be unable to progress any candidates that do not provide proof of comparison. We will also consider anybody without the above who has relevant experience.
You must be 18 years of age by the intake date and hold a Full UK manual driving license. Please note that if you have any tattoos, photographs MUST be uploaded in the attachment section of the application form. You will also need to provide information on where the tattoos are located and a full description. Failure to provide this information, may result in your application being delayed.

The Competency Values Framework (CVF) provides clear expectations for everyone working in policing. It describes behaviours required by all officers and members of staff and it will be used in the recruitment process to assess your suitability for the role to which you are applying.
